Ordering, Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

When and how will my order ship?

Most orders ship either the same day, or the following business day; please see the estimated arrival date at checkout for a more specific ETA. We ship from both California and New York, to help minimize transit time. Most orders ship complete when all items are available, but we may fulfill some orders from different locations, if it will help you to receive your order more quickly.

Expedited shipping: We offer express shipping options for addresses within the contiguous US. If you do not see these options at checkout, it may be because the carrier doesn't recognize your address exactly as written (e.g. if you entered "Los Angeles" instead of "Manhattan Beach"). Please email us at care@balooliving.com if you're not sure. 

Please note that the delivery dates shown, including for expedited shipments, are estimates only. There are occasions when UPS or FedEx may experience delays, due to weather or other events. We regret that we are are unable to refund shipping costs in the event that deliveries are delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. 

All weighted blanket orders ship via UPS or FedEx within the contiguous US. If you enter a P.O. Box at checkout, we will reach out to you to request an alternative address where UPS and FedEx can deliver. 

Orders under 1lb (including the Sleep Stone Mask) will ship via USPS First Class Mail. 

You will receive an automatic email with tracking information when your order ships, so you can track your delivery. Standard ground shipping includes Home delivery service with UPS or FedEx. Saturday deliveries are enabled for most addresses in the US. 

Do you offer free shipping?

We are pleased to offer free shipping on orders of $100+ within the contiguous United States!

We are unable to offer free shipping to Military Addresses (APO, FPO, and DPO), or to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or other US territories, due to the higher costs to deliver to these locations. However, the amount you see at checkout is actually $20-$25 less than the actual cost to ship; we subsidize the shipping to these areas to give you the lowest price possible.

Military Addresses

All orders shipping to a military address will ship via USPS Priority Mail and will incur additional transit time, due to unique transportation and handling requirements. Per the USPS, the transit time may be approximately 21 days.

Return & Exchange Policy

We're pleased to offer an extended return and exchange window for the holidays! Orders placed between November 1 and December 15 will be eligible for return or exchange through January 15, 2023. Outside of this window, we ask that returns be initiated within 30 days of delivery, which provides time to get used to the new feeling of sleeping with a weighted blanket. It may take several nights to adjust.

Please note, we are unable to accept returns on items that have been personalized with embroidery. 

To make a return or exchange, please email us at care@balooliving.com. Please do not ship your return using "return to sender," as the package will not go to the correct address. We are unable to accept returns that do not use the prepaid shipping label we provide. 

We are pleased to offer complimentary shipping within the contiguous U.S. on both exchanges and returns for store credit. Please note, items received as an exchange are final sale. 

If you prefer a refund to your original form of payment, then a return shipping cost of $18 per blanket will be withheld from the refund amount (less for non-weighted items).

Any shipping charges incurred on the original order are nonrefundable.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer free exchanges or flat-rate $18 shipping on items returned from outside of the contiguous U.S., including Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and FPO/APO/DPO addresses. The amount withheld will be determined by the actual return shipping cost.

When you submit your return or exchange, you will receive a UPS shipping label via email. Please ship your returned item to us within 28 days of receipt of your label. After that time, any unshipped return will be automatically canceled. 

Once we receive the return back in like-new condition, we will process your exchange, email you a gift card for store credit, or refund your original method of payment minus the return shipping cost. Sleep Stone Mask must be returned with crystal for full credit. 

Returned blankets will never be resold as new. Instead, we are pleased to offer Open Box blankets at a reduced price. These blankets have been returned, inspected and found to be in excellent condition. Any returns that are not in perfect condition are donated to nonprofit organizations.

Any items received with damage due to transit or manufacturer defect will be replaced or refunded according to our Quality Guarantee. If you have any questions, please email us directly at care@balooliving.com.

Return Eligibility

Orders shipped outside the US and Canada are not eligible for return or exchange. Only orders placed on our website may be returned to us; items purchased from another store or retail website should be returned to the original merchant.

Open Box blankets

Returned blankets will never be resold as new. Instead, we are pleased to offer Open Box blankets at a reduced price. These blankets have been returned, inspected and found to be in excellent condition. Any returns that are not in perfect condition are donated to nonprofit organizations.

Please know that we do not have the ability to launder the blankets at our facility, so you may wish to wash your open box item upon receiving. Our blankets can be washed on cold, gentle cycle and dried on low or no heat. Due to the variety of washing machines on the market, we recommend checking your model for its specific capacity. We recommend taking the King size blanket and all comforter sizes to a commercial facility due to their larger size.

Ordering in Canada

Most of our products are available to order in Canada, through both our website and Amazon.ca. Unless otherwise noted, all orders ship from within Canada for fast delivery. Click here to order on balooliving.ca.

Click here to order on Amazon.ca. Customers in Canada will not be able to checkout on the US site, balooliving.com. This is because we don't want to charge you unnecessary international shipping and duties! Instead, please order Balooliving.ca or Amazon.ca. 

The charcoal, blush pink, and navy blue linens, as well as all king size pillowcases, are available to purchase on our Canadian store but will ship from the U.S. Additional shipping and duties will apply. The full amount calculated (based on weight and distance) is transferred to the international carrier; Baloo does not retain any of the funds, and we are not able to control the amount quoted.

Most of our products are available to purchase on both balooliving.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk, with fast domestic shipping within the UK.

Other international orders

Baloo Living now ships internationally from the U.S., through BorderGuru! Just enter your shipping address at checkout.

In an effort to expedite and simplify delivery, all fees, including customs and duties, are included in the shipping price shown at checkout. The full amount calculated (based on weight and distance) is transferred to the international carrier; Baloo does not retain any of the funds, and we are not able to control the amount quoted.

The estimated transit time is approximately 14 days, and tracking will be provided when your order ships. The final delivery will be performed by a local carrier in your country, with signature confirmation required. We occasionally see transit times that are longer than 14 days, up to 28 days; this is partly due to delays at customs in the destination country. Currently, final deliveries in Australia are experiencing delays of up to two weeks, due to COVID issues with AusPost. For deliveries by Christmas, please note the following recommended order deadlines:
