Restoring Our Planet

Baloo is both carbon neutral and Ocean+Positive through our partnership with SeaTrees by Sustainable Surf. We measure and address the carbon footprint across 100% of our operations—from production and shipping to warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and returns—then go beyond that footprint by supporting additional restoration for the future.

Through our Ocean+Positive partnership with SeaTrees, we support restoration projects in Cambodia and Kenya. From protecting forests to planting mangroves, these projects help capture carbon, restore vital ecosystems, and support the communities that care for them.

For our 2025 carbon footprint, Baloo compensated for 514 metric tons of CO₂ through the Ocean+Positive program. 


Did you know? Every mangrove tree planted:

 

  • Has the potential to sequester approximately 300 kg of carbon dioxide over its 25-year lifetime.
  • Helps create meaningful employment for more than 200 people.
  • Provides resources for local education.
  • Serves as critical nursery grounds for fish and shellfish, helping increase local marine productivity.
  • Helps protect local villages from storm surges and sea-level rise.
    Even better, these projects go far beyond carbon. By restoring mangrove forests and protecting vital ecosystems in Kenya and Cambodia, our partnership helps create healthier habitats for wildlife and stronger coastal communities. It’s a way to support the planet’s natural ability to heal while investing in a healthier future for people and planet. This has been our commitment since Day One.
