    Skip the dry cleaners completely—just drop the blanket in your washing machine on a cold cycle with gentle detergent, and tumble dry on medium or low heat. King size blankets should be washed in a commercial machine due to their size.

    Great sleep, once I used the loops to keep the blanket from sliding off!

    I like the blanket very much. I like the weight and feel snug and safe under its weight.

    I had a problem at first with it sliding off the bed during the night. Any movement on my part caused the blanket to slide a bit, and once the blanket was not evenly centered on top of me, with one side slightly farther over one side of the bed, gravity pulled the blanket off me onto the floor.

    Then I realized there were four loops sewn into the hems on both sides. I wasn’t sure what to do, but I knew they were part of the solution.

    Once I put my fitted and top sheet on the bed, I put the weighted blanket on top. Then used a cord to lace the blanket on top of the bed like an upside down shoe: running the cord underneath the bed through the loops of the blanket sides that were hanging down each side of the bed.

    Center the cord underneath the foot of the bed, then take each end of the cord and begin “lacing” the cord underneath the bed, through the loops on either side of the blanket, cross-crossing in X’s as you would shoe laces - through the first three loops, and tying the two ends together in a knot underneath (or on one side of) the bed - as you would shoelaces.

    (Obviously, you can’t lace all four loops , because you’d have a helluva time crawling into bed with the blanket tied down all the way up to your pillow.)

    There may be a better solution in using the loops. Please, tell me if you do.
