    Baloo weighted blankets are machine washable and dryer safe up to 20lbs. Wash on a cold cycle with gentle detergent, and tumble dry on medium heat. Weighted blankets 25lbs or more and weighted comforters are best washed at a commercial laundry, to save in-home machines from wear. Protected by Baloo's Lifetime Quality Guarantee.

    Feels so good!

    I am in love with our new weighted blanket! I can’t remember ever sleeping so well as I have since we got this new blanket. If you are sitting on the fence about whether to get one of these or not, the open box option is a less expensive way to do it and I urge you to try it. You will not regret it!

    Totally comfortable with the open box weighted blanket. I chose the 15# weight. Blanket had been laundered,was clean and soft. Finally sleeping so much better. Quite happy. No complaints.

    The first night without waking up in sweat. The blanket was an open box deal. The duvet was new. I attached the blanket to the duvet, positioned it on the bed, and climbed in. The blanket is heavy at 15 lbs. I ran into an issue because I originally selected a duvet for the through blanket. They sent me an email explaining it to me. I then went back to the online store and told them what I wanted. They updated my purchase. Select faster shipping if you want it right away. Well, I'd better get out of the bed.

    Who needs 2? Me.........

    This is my second blanket - previously a 15 lb version and this time a 20 lb version. I had a great experience with the first one last winter and couldn't understand why it wasn't working for me as well in the spring...then I realized I had removed the additional quilts on top of the weighted blanket as we moved into AC season. With the open box option I was able to buy a slightly heavier blanket to offset the lack of additional blanket weight under just a thin cotton blanket and a top sheet to protect both from cats and dog. Now I'm back to solid sleep and returning to sleep quickly after bathroom trips. Thanks!

    This weighted blanket is PERFECT

    This weighted blanket is TRANSFORMATIVE! I love it so much. It's the perfect size to sleep with. Because it's smaller it can go in a regular washing machine and you can even travel with it. I sleep with mine and it completely covers me and I don't have to share with my husband. My daughters each have one at college and I gave it as a gift to a friend who keeps hers on her couch and the entire family fights over it. I love it!

Are Open Box items eligible for returns or exchanges?

Open Box items are final sale and may not be exchanged or returned.

Can I use a promo code?

Because Open Box items are heavily discounted to begin with, they are not eligible for further discounts or promotions.

Do you wash Open Box items before reselling?

Please know that we do not have the ability to launder the blankets at our facility, so you may wish to wash your open box item upon receiving. Our blankets can be washed on cold, gentle cycle and dried on low heat.

Are these items under warranty?

Yes! Baloo's items are built to last, including our Open Box blankets. If at any time you experience an issue due to the quality of materials or workmanship, we would be glad to offer a repair or replacement.

How will I know if my item is Open Box?

The order confirmation will be emailed to the email address indicated at checkout, and will include the name of the item ordered, and the open box designation. We do not include packing slips or receipts in the shipment. In some cases, the new packaging may consist of a cotton dust bag in lieu of a canvas tote. The SKU on the box will include a "-R" at the end.
