Meet A Beautiful HEART Ministries (ABHM)

This nonprofit organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life for formerly incarcerated women, girls, and gender-fluid individuals. Their work is grounded by five pillars: economic advancement, education, empowerment, alternative to incarceration, and wellness. 

Their program offers a safe & respectful environment that promotes healthy relationships in which participants can get the best quality care to promote healing.

Weighted for Wellness

Incarceration takes a heavy toll on one's mental & physical health. With a donation of over 90 weighted blankets going towards justice-impacted women and girls in ABHM’s reentry program, we hope the recipients will feel comforted & supported in their healing journey.

Weighted blankets are designed to provide deep pressure touch, which stimulates the release of serotonin and melatonin, promoting relaxation and a sense of safety. The even, gentle weight can be particularly beneficial for those who may struggle with anxiety, stress, or difficulty sleeping.

We hope the simple gift of a Baloo weighted blanket provides a tangible source of comfort they can snuggle under for solace or simply serve as a reminder that they are valued and deserving of care.
